Hi! I am very happy you have made it here. My name is Crystal Young. I am a Licensed Clinical social worker with a master's degree from the University of Southern California in Social work. I am proudly born and raised in Inglewood, California. I have been in the mental health field for the past 8 years and counting! My experience ranges from, but not limited to field based mental health, outpatient, hospice, psychiatric inpatient hospital setting, group homes, and currently private practice. I have my own experience with therapy and being on the other side of the couch! I believe that If I am going to be a therapist, I have to certainly know what it feels like to be a client, and well we all need some support! I have overcome many things in life, but the greatest healing came from being able to support others. So, shout out to you for coming to my page and possibly starting your own journey... Take care.
What To Expect During Therapy
My approach is lighthearted, yet challenging, passionate, supportive and safe. I am a straightforward therapist, while still respecting and being mindful of where my client is at in the present moment. I focus on understanding your culture, beliefs, customs, and values. I am passionate about creating a therapeutic space where my client come as they are while facilitating insight and understanding and laying the groundwork for hope and healing. I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding and encourage you to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. Therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and is a self investment. I believe that in therapy the overall wellbeing and wellness of an individual is the key to dealing with all of life's advertises .
